2024-25 Basketball (Grades K-12)

  • PLAYER ELIGIBILITY: Registration is only open to residents of the Perkiomen Valley School District.
  • PARENT REQUESTS: No requests for specific teammates, coaches, schedule or carpooling will be accepted in order to ensure fair team placement.

Travel Basketball

Please register below in the appropriate age group. When you come to the drop down menu asking if you are interested in trying out for Travel Basketball please check "YES". We will notify those who checked yes of the dates for their age groups tryouts. Travel tryouts will start the first week in October and last 2 weeks.

  • If your child is selected for a travel team and accepts the position, they will be transferred to the appropriate team and be directed for payment of the remaining travel fee. 
  • If they are not selected for a travel team, they will then be placed on a rec team based off their grade level. If you decide not to play rec if not selected for a travel team please notify us and we will refund the registration fee minus the $10 processing fee.
  • An email will be sent to all who checked that they wished to participate in travel with the tryout dates as well as a link on our website.


Rec Basketball

Recreation League Info:  
  • Registration for all rec basketball programs will run from 9/1 to 10/15 unless filled prior to that. There will be no late registrations this season.  Registration will close on 11/7 regardless of the reason for registering late.
  • If you are planning on trying out for a high school team but want to play rec if you don't make the team, you will still need to register before 10/15. A full refund will be issued if you are selected for a high school team and do not play rec.
  • All rec seasons will end in late Feb/Early March, depending on playoff games and possible makeups due to weather cancellations.
  • V and Sr Boys divisions will hold their draft the week after Thanksgiving. Players in those divisions should be notified by the following Monday.

Divisions:

FUTURES (Kindergarten) - The Futures Division is a series of one-hour clinics for “Kindergarten age” boys and girls that promote the skills of the game of basketball.  The children will run thru drills (station format) in a 6 to 8 week period. Futures clinics are conducted on Saturday mornings starting late October at Schwenksville Elementary from 9:30 to 10:30.

DRIBBLERS (1st and 2nd Grade Boys and Girls) - The Dribblers Division is a 3v3 format on half court. Rules are specific for this division. Teams will practice once per week, Monday thru Friday either 6:30 or 7:30 with games on Saturday. A typical game schedule will consist of 10 games. Dribblers Division will practice and play at South Elementary.

SHOOTERS (3rd and 4th Grade Boys and Girls) - The Shooters Division play full court and play on 9’ rims. PIAA rules are followed unless otherwise noted. Teams will practice once per week, Monday thru Friday either 6:30 or 7:30 with games on Saturday. A typical game schedule will consist of 8 games plus single elimination playoffs.  Boys Division will practice and play at Skippack Elementary and Girls will practice and play at Evergreen Elementary.

Jr Varsity (5th and 6th Grade Boys and Girls) - The JV Division play full court and play on 10’ rims. PIAA rules are followed unless otherwise noted. Teams will practice once per week, Monday thru Friday either 7:30 or 8:30 with games on Saturday. A typical game schedule will consist of 8 games plus single elimination playoffs.  Boys Division will practice and play at Schwenksville Elementary and Girls will practice and play at Evergreen Elementary.

Varsity (7th through 9th Grade Boys and Girls) - The Varsity Division play full court and play on 10’ rims. PIAA rules are followed unless otherwise noted. Teams will practice once per week, Monday or Thursday either 6:30, 7:30 or 8:30 with games on Saturday mornings. A typical game schedule will consist of 8 games plus single elimination playoffs.  Boys Division will practice and play at PVMS East.

Seniors (10th through 12th Boys and Girls) - The Sr boys Division play full court and play on 10’ rims. PIAA rules are followed unless otherwise noted. Teams will have one practice to get acquainted with the coach. Games will be on Friday evening; Saturday morning or Sunday morning. A typical game schedule will consist of 8 games plus single elimination playoffs.  Boys Division will play at PVMS East. The Sr girls Division play full court and play on 10’ rims. PIAA rules are followed unless otherwise noted. Teams will practice once per week, Monday thru Thursday at 8:30 with games on Saturday afternoon. A typical game schedule will consist of 8 games plus single elimination playoffs.  Girls Division will practice at various Elementary Schools and play at either Evergreen or Skippack.

Senior Boys (Grades 10-12)
