What if my child is put on a waitlist?
- Unfortunately, for some sports, we will have a waitlist to get into the program. We never like to see this and will do our best to alleviate any waitlist. We ask for your patience in the process as no decisions on waitlists will be made until 5 days after the end of the registration period for each program. The reason for waitlists is gym space and/or field availability. There is a capacity at which we've exhausted all available practice and game time in the gyms and when we reach that level we have to create a waitlist.

How come the website shows no programs listed for my age?
Please check and make sure that you have entered the correct birth date for your child. Despite our leagues being grade based, the system is set up based on player ages and not by grade. If you have entered the correct birth date and the system has you defaulting to the wrong division or shows no programs for your child, please contact the administrator at [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected] depending on the sport you are registering for.
What equipment does the league provide?
The league will provide each coach with pinnies, cones, and balls for practices. We will also provide each team and player with team jerseys. For our Senior Division, Field Hockey provides the goalie equipment for our goalies. Lacrosse will provide goalie equipment for the Freshmen, JV and Varsity Divisions.
Why do you not allow carpool, play with, or coach requests?
PVYB programs support over 1200 children within the Perkiomen Valley and surrounding communities. Please understand that with this many students participating in our sports programs, it is nearly impossible to be able to accommodate these requests as they have become more and more numerous with each season. There are many factors, i.e. honoring a conflict night, that go into the formation of teams that take precedent over anything else. Our goal is to provide a fun and competitive environment of balanced teams and what may seem like a simple request causes a domino effect throughout the division that impacts the ability to organize, communicate and balance the programs in a fair and timely fashion. Additionally, there are many requests each season to keep certain “groups” together which as an organization we philosophically do not let happen. Keeping groups of six, seven, eight kids together creates cliques within teams and causes situations of others being on the outside or not included. We appreciate your understanding as to this policy.
